Recap from the 12th Annual Austin Carr Golf Outing
On Monday, August 15, Y.O.U. supporters gathered at Quail Hollow Country Club for the 12th Annual Austin Carr Golf Outing. The weather was perfect for our golfers who celebrated Y.O.U.’s work in the community while meeting several staff and youth. This outing is hosted by Austin Carr who is an emeritus board member, Cavs legend, and one of the community’s biggest fans and believer of Cleveland’s youth.
We would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and golfers who made this outing our most success to date!
This year’s highlights:
140 golfers attended, and 28 foursomes golfed.
30 local celebrities from Cleveland sports teams and news/media outlets paired up with the foursomes or attended the dinner to show their support for Austin Carr and Y.O.U.’s work with youth.
Dollars raised at the event went directly to Y.O.U. programming.
During the event golfers compete for prizes that included gift certificates to Quail Hollow’s pro-shop and golf at the club, gift certificates to Top Golf in Independence, and a sampling of beer from Sibling Revelry in Westlake.
This year’s auction included tickets to see the Guardians and Browns play, a Matco toolbox and set, a stay at a PGA resort in Florida, and certificates to shows at local theaters.
