Y.O.U. celebrates top volunteers, donors, and employers!
On November 25, we celebrated volunteers, donors, and employers who made significant contributions to Y.O.U. in 2019 at our annual appreciation event. Attendees enjoyed dinner and a CAVS basketball game at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Our Volunteer of the Year was Tamitra Peavy. Y.O.U. Chief Program Officer Pam Macer presented her with the award. “Tamitra has been a huge asset to Y.O.U. She volunteers whenever she can,” said Pam. “Sometimes we call her at the last minute to assist, and she’s always willing to help whenever we need her,” Pam added.
Vice President of Community Based Workforce Services Eric Matheny presented the Outstanding Employer Award to Cardinal Health, an organization that has been a champion for our young adults. “We have about six young adults working for Cardinal Health. They have been an amazing hiring partner for us,” said Eric. Several of our former participants are employed full-time there, earning a livable wage.
Y.O.U. Senior Executive of Development Marc Nathanson presented the Donor of the Year Award to Wells Fargo, a company that has supported Y.O.U. consistently throughout the years and presented its largest gift of $75,000 this year.
After the celebration, AT&T representatives joined President & CEO Craig Dorn to present a $25,000 gift to support Y.O.U.
Volunteers, donors, and employers contribute greatly to the success of our organization. It was an honor to celebrate them and we look forward to recognizing the impactful contributions of 2020.
