Congratulations to E CITY students Re’Allatee Gambrell, Luis Galvan, and Ben Pacheco, recipients of the Charles R. McDonald Award and the David G. Hill Scholarship.
Ms. Re’Allatee Gambrell was granted the Charles R. McDonald Award. Her business idea, “Souper Bowl,” is a cereal/soup/casserole bowl holder that allows you to hold the heated bowl (from microwave or oven/stove) without burning your hands. Re’Allatee will attend Lake Erie College in August majoring in biology. Ms. Gambrell credits E CITY for boosting her confidence and public speaking abilities.
Luis Galvan was awarded the David G. Hill Scholarship. Luis Galvan will attend Cleveland State University in August, majoring in business. Luis’ business idea, “FlexDex,” is a therapeutic putty for hands. Luis encourages all his younger classmates to enroll in E CITY because he learned so much and really enjoyed his experience in the class.
Ben Pacheco, also awarded the David G. Hill Scholarship, will attend Ohio State University, majoring in pre-law. Ben’s business idea, “Slime-Time,” a craft kit for kids, was inspired by watching his young relatives’ passion for making slime. Ben wants to become a lawyer because he loves to argue!
We wish all three good luck in college and their future careers.
