Job’s for Ohio’s Graduates Kicks Off Another Exciting School Year

JOG

The school year is now well underway for our Jobs of Ohio’s Graduates program, an in-school course offered at nine local high schools. The JOG program focuses on career development, employability and leadership skills — preparing students for post-secondary success.

For the 2024-25 school year, JOG is offered at the following schools:

  • Cleveland Heights High School

  • East Tech High School

  • Glenville High School

  • John Marshall High School - Civic and Business Leadership

  • John Marshall High School - Information Technology

  • Lincoln-West School of Global Studies

  • Maple Heights ECAC High School

  • Maple Heights High School

  • Warrensville High School

Each JOG program kicked off the year with a Welcome Celebration, which included students explaining the purpose of the program, inspirational words from a guest speaker and the reciting of the JOG pledge. Plus of course delicious food and drink!

The program is taught by full-time Y.O.U. staff members — Career Specialist Instructors — and includes a full year of follow-up support. Throughout the school year, the students will explore topics such as public speaking, resume writing, mock interviews and community service. A big event they work towards is the Youth Career Olympics, a Y.O.U. event held each March where students showcase their skills in competitions.

We can’t wait to see what you will achieve!
