Heather Light named member of Cleveland Bridge Builders 2023 cohort
The Cleveland Leadership Center on Friday, Aug. 5, announced the names of participants in the 2023 cohorts of its Cleveland Bridge Builders and OnBoard Cleveland programs.
Both programs are aimed at developing leaders in the region and "represent a variety of public, private, nonprofit, and governmental organizations," the organization said in a news release.
Cleveland Bridge Builders will prepare the 62 mid-career professionals "for meaningful and impactful civic engagement," according to the release. Sessions from September of this year through June 2023 "will cover topics such as emotional intelligence, implicit bias, power and influence, and collaborative leadership." Members of the class will be placed on teams to assist local community organizations in tackling specific initiatives through "leadership action projects."
In the OnBoard Cleveland program, 17 young professionals will take part in "an immersion experience that enhances communications skills, builds awareness of the civic landscape and equity, and equips them to make a difference in their workplaces and across the community," according to the release. Participants will meet from September to March, when they present plans for their future civic involvement.
