Y.O.U. hosts Winter Alumni Event

Y.O.U. recently hosted its Winter Alumni Event. The event located at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse was a huge hit amongst attendees who enjoyed a private reception, attended the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons game, and participated in the courtside “HI5” experience with Cleveland Cavaliers players.

Former Y.O.U. participants engaged with Y.O.U. staff, networked with fellow Y.O.U. alumni, and learned about current opportunities, such as our paid credential trainings beginning in February. This event was an opportune time for us to learn more about our former participants and what we can do to provide additional resources and services.

Alumni also heard from guest speaker, DeAndrea Evans-Springer, Vice President of Learning and Leadership Development for Bank of America. Springer discussed the importance of grit and determination.

In 2019, Y.O.U. served more than 4,000 youth. The work we do helps teens and young adults achieve economic self-sufficiency. “I am thankful for Y.O.U. I learned so much during my time as a JOG student,” said one attendee. We are excited to know Y.O.U. alumni value the work we do. This event was a success, and we look forward to connecting with more alumni in the future.
