Y.O.U. Serves!

Our JOG students at John Marshall Civic and Business Leadership High School recently got the opportunity to serve at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries Men’s Shelter at 2100 Lakeside. Students spent the day prepping meals for more than 250 homeless men. They served the residents of the shelter and were able to experience service learning while networking with some of the other shelter employees. Our students were enriched by their experience and walked away excited to return to their communities and serve. “There were so many young people in the shelter. There were even some people who had jobs and were telling their life story,” said JOG Student Sara. “I’d love go back to help those in need. It really was a good experience.” she added.
